Brass and steel taps

Wine taps are a fundamental element in the wine production process, as they allow you to control the flow of liquids during the various phases, from fermentation to bottling. In addition to functionality, wine taps must meet specific hygiene and safety requirements, to guarantee the quality of the final product.

The most commonly used materials in the production of wine taps are:

Stainless steel: this is the most common material thanks to its high resistance to corrosion, ease of cleaning and durability over time. Stainless steel is ideal for parts that come into direct contact with the wine, as it does not alter the flavor and does not release harmful substances.

Brass: it is often used for external parts or for aesthetic details, such as handles and fittings. Brass is a resistant and easy-to-work material, which gives a traditional and elegant look to the taps.

Wood: in particular oak wood, is used for the creation of handles and grips. Wood adds a touch of naturalness and warmth to the taps, recalling the ancient traditions of winemaking.

Plastic materials: in some cases, for particular applications, food grade plastic materials, such as PVC or silicone, can be used. These materials are light, cheap and resistant to various chemicals.
